Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026
Fitscan is a fitness app that uses body scan photos, workout preferences, and training history to provide scan analysis, workout plans, workout logging, and progress tracking. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us.
Information we collect
- Scan photos: photos you capture with the camera or choose from your photo library for body scan check-ins.
- Scan and analysis data: angle labels, photo dimensions, photo quality notes, scan results, visible focus areas, limitations, and progress information generated from a scan.
- Workout and preference data: goals, available equipment, workout duration, training schedule, generated plans, exercises, sets, reps, weights, completed workouts, skipped workouts, and progress history.
- Subscription data: purchase, trial, restore, entitlement, product, and renewal status needed to unlock paid features. Payment details are handled by Apple, not by Fitscan.
- Device and app data: app version, platform, build version, device or installation identifiers, performance information, and basic diagnostics used to keep the app reliable.
- Support messages: your email address and any information you include when you contact us.
How we use information
- To analyze scan photos and show fitness-focused scan results.
- To generate, update, and repair workout plans.
- To save workout history, preferences, and progress over time.
- To verify subscriptions, trials, purchases, restores, and access to paid features.
- To troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, and improve app reliability.
- To respond to support and privacy requests.
Camera and photos
Fitscan asks for camera access so you can capture scan photos, and photo library access so you can choose saved photos for a scan. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. Do not submit photos of another person unless you have permission.
AI processing
Scan photos and related scan context may be sent to service providers that help process images and generate scan analysis or workout guidance. Fitscan uses this information to provide the app experience. We do not use scan photos for advertising.
Local and cloud storage
Some app data is stored on your device so Fitscan can show your scans, plans, workouts, and progress. Some information may also be processed or stored by our backend providers when needed for scan analysis, plan generation, entitlement verification, diagnostics, and support.
Third-party service providers
We use service providers for app hosting, AI processing, subscription verification, analytics, diagnostics, and customer support. These providers may process information on our behalf only as needed to provide services to Fitscan and protect user data appropriately.
Analytics and diagnostics
We may collect limited usage, diagnostic, and performance information to understand whether important app flows work correctly. Internal analytics are intended to measure app reliability and feature behavior, not to sell personal information or target advertising.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, support purchases and subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain app reliability. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to grant camera or photo library access in iOS settings.
- You can delete local app data from supported in-app settings where available or by deleting the app from your device.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion help by emailing junhong.liao@icloud.com.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Fitscan is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Medical disclaimer
Fitscan provides fitness guidance and visual body-analysis estimates only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
